I’ve been living in the frog pond for a couple of days, but today, I finally got started on a thing that might not end up unravelled.

Well, after the success with the last scarf, I decided to make another one—this time suitable for the climate in which I live, so that I might actually wear it. The yarn is a cheap cotton/polyester blend (85/15) that is, I think, normally used for things like dishcloths. And, I used 9mm needles to get a loosey-goosey tension with my dishcloth yarn, making big holes that are perfect for letting air through.

I’m about halfway done, and so far I have added four stitches. It doesn’t look too wonky, yet.

If the result is satisfactory, it shall be dubbed the Louisiana scarf.
