The Aura of Destiny

Last year, I got a Majacraft Aura to replace my Schacht Ladybug, which was good to me, but I had grown frustrated trying to spin thicker yarns with its metal hook yarn guides. Even before I had put it in storage 8 years ago, I had started looking into getting a more art yarn friendly bulky flyer for it. When it came out of storage again, it was for me to sell it to help pay for an Aura. I financed the Aura, but with some reluctance (because having two wheels opens possibilities), sold it anyway. I couldn’t really justify having two wheels.

The only time I regretted selling the Ladybug was when I really got started spinning again. I never regretted getting the Aura, just getting rid of the Ladybug. But, in the end, that was probably for the best because it gave me an excuse to get the Majacraft Luna and have interchangeable parts. And two spinning wheels. What getting the Luna made me realize was that switching to the Aura was the best part of the entire series of questionable decisions. I hate Scotch tension. I love my double drive Aura.
